About Carbon Core

The world's first net-zero brick and pavers. Carbon Core Technology was invented by Professor Brian Gorman at the Colorado School of Mines. The addition of ~1.5 pounds of olivine sand per brick before firing imbues each Carbon Core brick with the ability to sequester ~1 pound of CO2. This rate of efficiency is 10x the forest carbon sequestration rate. 

Carbon Core gains superior freeze-thaw and cracking resistance over traditional brick through this carbon sequestration process.​ If all brick manufacturers adopted our carbon-core technology, the potential CO2 reduction is 2.2 Trillion Pounds per year. If only U.S. brick manufacturers adopt Carbon Core, the reduction potential is 2 Billion Pounds per year.
